Vinyl
This vinyl project consisted of designing a new album or re-designing an existing album. It had to be in vector art, but we were allowed to use photos for some minor aspects of our design. One side of the inner sleeve design had to contain lyrics. We were free to choose whichever singer and album we wanted as long as it wasn’t inappropriate.
I wanted to inspire myself with a song called Leave Me in the Dark by Alexander Stewart but it wasn’t part of an album, so I decided to create an album from different songs he wrote. They’re all mostly about someone breaking someone’s heart which is why I decided to tell this story through illustrations on my vinyl. It represents the different stages of him giving his heart and then realizing they broke it.
